PURPOSE: A digital X-ray detecting apparatus and an initialization method are provided to shortening initialization time of a detector panel which absorbs the X-ray by photography. CONSTITUTION: A panel device(100) generates the photographic image with incident X-ray. A backlight projection part(110) is arranged on one side of the panel device, projects the backlight, and is capable of adjusting a projection amount of the backlight for each section. A projection amount controller(120) controls a projection amount of the backlight for each section based on a brilliance value of the photographic image generated by the panel device.
