<p>Provided are a cushioning member that is highly capable of protecting an object to be packaged and with which packaging efficiency can be improved, and a packaging device. The disclosed cushioning member is to be placed inside a packaging box to protect an object to be packaged, and includes: a plurality of cushion elements, each cushion element having a retaining section for retaining the object to be packaged formed on one surface thereof and at least one projection formed on the other surface thereof; and a fixing member having through holes formed therein at predetermined positions to allow the respective projections of the cushion elements to pass therethrough, the fixing member restricting the movement of the cushion elements as a result of the projections being inserted into the corresponding through holes. The projections pass through the respective through holes, and when the cushion elements, which have been fixed by the fixing member, are placed inside the packaging box, the tip ends of the respective projections come into contact with the surface of an inner wall of the packaging box.</p> |
