<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing reflector which is one multilayer laminated film, that is hardly broken in a film manufacturing method, to improve productivity and is produced without using a tacky adhesive, and which improves the luminance of a LCD backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing reflector is obtained by alternately layering a layer (A layer) comprising a thermoplastic resin and another layer (B layer) comprising another thermoplastic resin having the composition different from that of the resin constituting the A layer on each other to form 50 or more layers, satisfies inequality (1): Rmin≤40%, inequality (2): Rmax≥60% and inequality (3): Λmd≥7% (wherein Rmin and Rmax are the minimum value (Rmin) and the maximum value (Rmax) of the reflectance (%) when the polarized light having 550 nm wavelength is made incident on the surface of the polarizing reflector at 0° incident angle and the polarizing reflector is rotated by 180° around the optical axis of the incident light; Λmd is the breaking elongation in such a direction that the reflectance shows Rmax) and has ≤5 saturation C* of the transmitted light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
