<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve cost reduction for an in-vehicle device, and to prevent the detection omission of a moving object approaching an own vehicle from a blind corner for a driver while making the driver reliably recognize the presence of a detected moving object. <P>SOLUTION: The in-vehicle device captures an image of a wide angle range through a curved light receiver, detects a moving object approaching the own vehicle from a mounting direction of the imaging unit and from any direction other than the mounting direction based on the captured image, determines a degree of a collision risk indicating a possibility of a collision between the detected moving object and the own vehicle, and warns the presence of the moving object according to the determined degree of the collision risk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
