<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a control method for the same, wherein operability is improved by indicating a meaning of an icon to a user and allowing a change of setting contents indicated by the icon during icon information display. <P>SOLUTION: A list of the icons displayable on an LCD monitor 10 is shown in a photographable state. In actual photographing, presence/absence of the display of the icons is determined according to setting or a state of a digital camera. According to the setting and the state of the digital camera, there are cases where another icon of the same category is displayed. For example, 1 in Fig.6 indicates a category of a mode of a flash. Here, though the icon is an icon indicating light emission prohibition, the icon is replaced with an icon or the like indicating forced light emission according to the setting of the digital camera. Fig.6(b) indicates a list of category names of the icons. Correspondingly to a number allocated to each icon of Fig.6(a), a name of the category of the digital camera state or setting represented by each icon is indicated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
