<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reduction in responsiveness when adding a web application function, as well as improving convenience. <P>SOLUTION: An optical information reader includes: a light receiving part; a decoding part; a search part which searches for a name to be read associated with an information code decoded by the decoding part, by using a table associating information codes and names to be read with each other; an execution part which converts a script, associated with a structured document acquired via a communication part, into executable code data and executes the script; and a display part. A first code data obtained by converting a script that defines an operation of the light receiving part and an operation of the search part, into the executable form is preliminarily stored. The execution part acquires a structured document generated by a user and a second code data obtained by converting a script associated with the structured document, into the executable form, from a server via the communication part and, while referring to the first code data stored in a code data storage part, executes the second code data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
