<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of reducing a sound generated at a merging section where two conveying paths with different conveying directions merge, and achieving a sustainable sound reduction effect thereafter, and to provide an image forming apparatus and an image capturing apparatus equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device includes a sponge roller 37 provided at the merging section 103 where a first conveying path 101 mergers with a second conveying path 102, for making contact with the trailing end, or the leading end, of a sheet when the sheet is conveyed into the second conveying path 102 from the first conveying path 101. The outer circumference of the sponge roller 37 and the outer circumference of a conveying roller 35 which is positioned downstream are so arranged as to partially overlap each other in the second conveying path 102 on a projection plane in the direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction of the second sheet conveying path 102. The sponge roller 37 is also so arranged as to rotate. With this arrangement, not only can the reduction of the sound generated at the merging section be achieved, but also the sustainable sound reduction effect thereafter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
