PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress blow-by gas, and to suppress consumption of engine oil even if a pressure in a combustion chamber of an engine becomes high. SOLUTION: The piston ring 21 is housed in a ring-like recessed groove formed on an outer peripheral surface of a piston, and the piston ring 21 is composed such that an outer peripheral surface of the piston ring 21 abuts on a cylinder inner peripheral surface. The piston ring 21 is formed by superposing an upper part ring part 23 and a lower part ring part 24 having the same diameter as the upper part ring part 23. The piston ring 21 is formed in a double coil shape in which one end of the upper part ring part 23 of the piston ring 21 is a trailing end, the other end of the upper part ring part 23 is integrally connected to one end of the lower part ring part 24, and the other end of the lower part ring part 24 is a trailing end.
