PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure by transmitting a lever operation amount to a variable resistor not using a gear, in the structure of a joystick device provided in a control unit (a control panel) of a camera system or the like, operating a lever projecting from the control panel to control the variable resistor. SOLUTION: The joystick device includes: a lever part movable in a predetermined section in a back-and-forth or right-and-left direction; and the variable resistor wherein an amplification factor changes according to movement of the lever part. A predetermined position of the lever part is provided with a rotary shaft. The rotary shaft is shaped to be directly engaged with a variable knob part of the variable resistor.
