PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification marking having few positional restrictions, and various types of combinations of marking elements in regard to a retainer for a roller bearing formed with the identification marking for mutually distinguishing retainers with approximate standards. SOLUTION: In the retainer for a roller bearing applied with the identification marking for distinction from other retainers in one part of the retainer 13, the identification marking is constituted of positions, shapes, and the number of identification grooves 18 provided on one part of the retainer 13, and a combination of colors of coloring applied to the identification grooves 18.
