The device (2) has loads (V11, V21, V31) operably connected downstream to an electrically controlled central stop valve (6) of a main supply (4). Sensors (S11, S21, S31) determine the actuation of the loads and/or the presence of a person. A control unit (8) is connected with the sensors. The control unit captures sensor signals triggered by the activity and/or presence of the person in a range of the loads. The central stop valve is opened only for valve opening timings (VZ11, VZ21, VZ31) associated with the loads, where the valve opening timings are stored in the control unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a water supply device.
