COATED ALUMINUM MATERIAL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a coated aluminum material which comprises a shaped aluminum object constituted of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and a chromium-free coating and which has extremely high interfacial adhesion and gas tightness between the shaped aluminum object and the coating, retains excellent corrosion resistance even in severe environments, and can exhibit excellent durability. Also provided is a process for producing the coated aluminum material. The coated aluminum material is configured of: a shaped aluminum object which is constituted of an aluminum alloy and has a plurality of recesses attributable to irregularities formed in the surface; and a coating that has filling parts formed by penetration of a coating material into the recesses and solidification thereof. By the action of the recesses and the filling parts, the shaped aluminum object and the coating have been engaged with each other.
