<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire harness assembling device and a wire harness assembling method, capable of surely informing where to wire a wiring cable as a wiring object. <P>SOLUTION: The wire harness assembling device includes: a substrate in which a plurality of wiring routes are set on the main face; a plurality of guide pins which are arranged along the plurality of respective wiring routes and guide the plurality of respective wiring cables so that they go along the wiring routes; a lighting member mounted on each of the plurality of respective guide pins; and a lighting control device which, in case a wiring object cable is selected from the plurality of wiring cables, obtains discrimination information to specify the wiring object cable, and based on the discrimination information, lights the lighting member mounted on a guide pin group corresponding to the wiring object cable.
