<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold air fan capable of suppressing the propagation of bacteria and the like for long periods, and which does not limit the place of use. <P>SOLUTION: The water-absorbing material comprises porous ceramic water-absorbing material obtained by sintering a composition whose two essential components are limestone sludge and silt kira, where the ratio of one component in the two essential components is not lower than 42 mass% with respect to the total mass of two essential components and where the total of the two essential components is≥90 mass% with respect to the total mass to produce.
