<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element achieving high luminous efficiency and improved driving durability. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has an organic layer between an anode and a cathode, wherein the organic layer includes at least a light-emitting layer comprising at least one layer, a cathode-side adjacent layer adjacent to the cathode side of the light-emitting layer, and an electron transport layer adjacent to the cathode-side of the cathode-side adjacent layer. In the organic electroluminescent element, a triplet energy B of the cathode-side adjacent layer is lower than a triplet energy A of a light-emitting material of the light-emitting layer, a difference (A-B) between the both triplet energies is 9 kcal/mol or more and 20 kcal/mol or less, the triplet energy B of the cathode-side adjacent layer is lower than a triplet energy C of the electron transport layer, and a difference (C-B) between the both triplet energies is 5 kcal/mol or more and 20 kcal/mol or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
