PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of an electric motor, capable of reducing the amount of runners for a resin magnet, reducing degradation in physical properties of a resin magnet by decreasing a rate of recycle of runners, and forming a pedestal for attaching a position detecting magnet on the resin magnet by using the runners. SOLUTION: The rotor of the electric motor includes a plurality of grooves which are provided on an edge of an axial direction of a yoke and radially extend in a diameter direction; the resin magnet integrally formed on the outer periphery of the yoke; the pedestal formed to protrude from the resin magnet to the outside of an axial direction; and the position detecting magnet arranged on the pedestal. The resin magnet is molded by feeding the resin magnet from a donut-like runner positioned inside of the yoke and a rib-like runner radially extending from the donut-like runner to the outside of the diameter direction. The rib-like runner uses the grooves of the yoke as a path where the resin magnet is supplied, and the pedestal is formed on the rib-like runner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
