PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a red eye. SOLUTION: When it is determined that feature amounts of two eye regions in a face region are similar, a red-eye region specification information generator 23 generates a separating curve that separates the distribution of pixels constituting red-eye regions and the distribution of the other pixels in the distribution of feature amounts of the two eye regions in a space where the feature amounts are used as axes. Based on the separating curve, the red-eye region specification information generator 23 specifies red-eye regions in the two eye regions, respectively.
