PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reliable ultrasonic sensor hard to produce an element crack in a piezoelectric ceramic element from a solder joining site of a lead wire during manufacturing and using. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic sensor 100 includes a piezoelectric ceramic element 110, a first lead wire 130, and a first metal foil 120. The piezoelectric ceramic element 110 has a front electrode layer 113 formed on a front surface 111a of a piezoelectric ceramic body 111. The first lead wire 130 is electrically connected to the front electrode layer 113. The first metal foil 120 is pasted upon the front electrode layer 113, avoiding an area on a vibration maximum section 111ag where vibration displacement serves as maximum in the front surface 111a. The first lead wire 130 is joined to the first metal foil 120 with solder 131, and electrically connected to the front electrode layer 113 through the first metal foil 120.
