Provided are a communication apparatus and a communication system whereby anomalies can be located in time servers and in networks the communication paths of which have been made redundant. A communication apparatus (10) acquires pieces of time-related information from a plurality of time servers (101, 102) via a plurality of networks (103, 104) and compares the pieces of information with each other, thereby locating an anomaly in the time servers (101, 102) or in the networks (103, 104). A remote apparatus (107) acquires pieces of time-related information from the communication apparatus (10) via the plurality of networks (103, 104) and compares the pieces of information with each other, thereby determining an anomaly of the communication apparatus (10).
