<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath stripper that facilitates stripping a cable sheath, even if unevenness is made on its surface. <P>SOLUTION: The stripper includes a cable supporting member 2, which can slide a cable 16 with a core wire and an outer sheath covering the core in the first direction, and a cutter supporting mechanism 3, which supports a cutter 14 for cutting the outer sheath. The cutter supporting mechanism includes a cutter holding member 4, which holds a cutter, a fixing member 5, which supports the cutter holding member so that the cutter can rotate around the first shaft 13 vertical to a plane including the first direction, and an elastic member 12, one end of which is coupled with the fixing member and other end of which is coupled with the cutter holding member. The fixing member has such a structure as to support the cutter holding member so that the edge of the cutter may face the opposite direction to the first direction. The elastic member biases the cutter holding member so that torque around the first shaft may work, in the opposite direction to the first direction, at the edge of the cutter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
