PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate bonding work of both base materials, while suppressing displacement of a carbon base material and a metal base material. SOLUTION: A commutator 1 supports a commutator base material 11 where the annular disk-like carbon base material 5 having a sliding face 3 which is slidably brought into contact with a brush is bonded to the metal base material 9 having a plurality of terminals 7 to which winding is connected by a resin insulator 13. Slits 15 in a radial direction are formed in a circumferential direction at equal intervals and the commutator base material 11 is divided into a plurality of commutator pieces. A circular projection 21 is formed at a peripheral edge of a through-hole 27 at a center of the carbon base material 5 of the commutator 1.
