PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem with a conventional imaging device, wherein, when continuously played back at a certain frame rate, video imaged at a plurality of frame rates, field angle change rates due to zooming in the respective scenes are resultantly different from one another, and the video is difficult to view. SOLUTION: Based on a control signal from a control microcomputer 8 in accordance with a set frame rate, the zoom speed is variably controlled by movably controlling the position of a zoom lens 2 by a lens driver 3, and the field angle change rate between frames are made constant, making the video in playback easier to see.
