<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: in a conventional document restoration method, it is necessary to add coded data to a blank portion on a paper surface of a print document, and further when a document printed by applying printing material saving techniques is used as an original document, there is a need to prevent masking processing using a decimation pattern for a coded data portion. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a document reading means for reading a document to obtain image data, a document determining means for determining whether the document is printed in save mode by saving printing materials while using a predetermined decimation pattern; and a blank pixel restoring means for restoring a blank pixel decimated in the image data when the document determining means determines that the document is printed in save mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
