摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate observation by suppressing distortion occurring in an optical system and preventing an increase in noise caused by external light. SOLUTION: This microscope device 1 includes: a culture part 3 which holds a sample and cultures it while maintaining a constant temperature and constant humidity; a stage 4 which holds the culture part 3; a first condensing optical system 5 which condenses illuminating light from a light source 2 on the sample; a second condensing optical system 6 which condenses transmitted light transmitted through the sample; a pinhole 7 for transmission which is arranged at a position optically conjugate to an illuminating light condensing position on the sample and intercepts some of the transmitted light condensed by the second condensing optical system 6; a photodetector 8 for transmission which detects the transmitted light passing through the pinhole 7 for transmission; a moving mechanism which relatively moves the stage 4, and the first and second condensing optical systems, the pinhole for transmission and the photodetector for transmission; a housing 9 which surrounds the culture part, the stage, the first and second condensing optical systems, the pinhole for transmission, the photodetector for transmission and the moving mechanism and intercepts the external light; and temperature controllers 10, 11 and 12 which control temperatures in the housing 9.
