PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit without forcing a user to perform complicated operation by solving problems in a prior art when selecting an external device in coordination operation with the image processing unit. SOLUTION: The image processing unit can communicate with a plurality of external devices via a network, and determines an external device corresponding to an authenticated user as an external device to be used from among the plurality of external devices. Then, the image processing unit transmits read, generated image data to the determined external device, and performs print by received image data when receiving the image data subjected to image processing by the external device from the external device.
