<p>A process for the recovery of ions from solution, comprises contacting an ion in solution with a collector ion of opposite electrical charge to form an insoluble reaction product, maintaining on said solution body a liquid layer which is immiscible with said solution and by which said product is taken up, and lifting the reaction product by means of gas bubbles to bring the product into contact with said liquid layer. The general procedures of the invention are described in Specifications 911,742 and 932,067. Suitable solvents or wetting agents being octyl alcohol, fatty acids, amines, naphthenic acids and mixtures of benzene and amyl alcohol.</p> |
