<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improvements to surgical implants such as sling meshes used to treat urinary incontinence. <P>SOLUTION: A medical implant made of strands which have maximum residual mass density of about 30 to about 60 g/m<SP>2</SP>in a mesh configuration, and pores of from about 200 to about 2,000 μm in diameter in the mesh.
