PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear capable of carrying out miniaturization, and improving a degree of freedom of layout of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A differential case 49 is attached to a side face of a ring gear 48 in an opposite side of an engaging side of the ring gear 48 and the pinion gear 35, and the ring gear 48 integrally has a boss part 54 pierced by a driven shaft in the engaging side with the pinion gear 35. In the boss part 54, an annular member 56 capable of sliding along an axial direction is provided, and a guide part 57 guiding the annular member 56 is set. A lock pin 70 is provided in the annular member 56, and a differential mechanism becomes a lock state by inserting the lock pin 70 into pin holes 71, 72 formed in the ring gear 48 and a left output side cam 65. A sliding area wherein the annular member 56 slides is disposed on an axial end extension line of the pinion gear 35, and so as to fit in a projection area of a pinion gear 35 diameter.
