The invention relates to an all-purpose system for conveying heavy loads, which is suitable for any type of load regardless of weight or size, and to the operating method thereof. The system includes multiple tracks and multiple carriages that support the loads. The carriages include: a rolling system or shoe allowing same to move along the tracks; a means for lifting the load a short distance from the ground, comprising hydraulic cylinders; and a rack-and-pinion-type overturning-prevention system which also serves as a guide and pulls the carriage.
