<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring instrument recording position data always at appropriate intervals even where the moving speed of a movable body variously changes, a method of recording position data, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: This position measuring instrument includes a position measuring means held by the movable body and capable of measuring a present position, a position measurement control means (S1 to S11) causing the measurement of a present position made by the measuring means to take place at prescribed intervals, and a record control means (S12 to S16) for recording some position data by dispensing with the recording of some position data among a series of position data acquired in order through the measurement by the measuring means. Record control on the series of position data is performed so that a rate with the recording of position data dispensed with thereat is increased when the moving speed of the movable body is large while the rate with the recording of position data dispensed with thereat is decreased when the moving speed of the movable body is small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
