PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam treating apparatus capable of removing the foam on seawater surface of a drainage canal and easily treating a foam component. SOLUTION: The foam treating apparatus 1 mounted in the drainage channel 10 in which spent seawater used in power generation equipment and discharged is provided with: a foam recovering part 2 for recovering the foam B floating on water surface WL of the spent seawater flowing through the drainage channel 10; a foam recovering tank 3 into which the foam B recovered in the foam recovering part 2 flows; a defoaming part 4 for defoaming the foam B flowing in the foam recovering part 3; and a discharge part 6 for returning the foam component contained in the defoamed foam B and the spent seawater flowing in the foam recovery tank 3 with the foam from the foam recovery tank 3 to the vicinity of the bottom of the drainage channel 10.
