PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a magnetic disk device to simply evaluate concentration of low density gas in a case. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a magnetic disk device, gas for replacement is injected into a case 10 from a gas injection port 11i, gas discharged from a gas discharge port 11e is guided into a chamber 57, sound is generated in the chamber 57, sound pressure of the sound transmitted in the chamber 57 is detected, and concentration of the gas for replacement in the case 10 is evaluated on the basis of sound pressure of the sound.
