PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer having sufficient iron ion deposition prevention ability as compared with a conventional polymer, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The amino group-containing copolymer includes≥1 and≤90 mass% of a structure unit originated in hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate,≥9 and≤98 mass% of a structure unit originated in carboxyl group-containing monomer (B) and≥1 and≤50 mass% of a structure unit originated in amino group-containing monomer (C) as indispensable structure units.
