PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel, equipped with a rotational-speed detection device which improves assembling workability and secures sealing performance. SOLUTION: A sensor cap 14 is made up of: a cap body 15 provided with a fitting section 15a of a cylindrical shape made of a synthetic resin and press suitable for the end of the inner side of an outer member 2 and a bottom section 15b that extends radially inward from the fitting section 15a; and a core metal 16 integrally molded to an opening of this cap body 15. A thin-walled section 20 is formed along the shape of a rotational-speed sensor 19 on an outer section in the radial direction of the bottom section 15b. The rotational-speed sensor 19 is arranged to face the thin-walled section 20 until it contacts or approaches the thin-walled section.
