PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body guide device securing stable driving without upsizing the device and reducing a load applied to a movable table. SOLUTION: When the movable table 12 is in an initial position, forces applied to the movable table 12 by a first cable protective member 13 and a second cable protective member 14 are balanced. The movable table 12 moving from the initial position into a first terminal position or a second terminal position is not therefore hindered from moving by the forces received from the first cable protective member 13 and the second cable protective member 14. When the movable table 12 moves from the first terminal position or the second terminal position to the initial position side, on the other hand, forces applied to the movable table 12 from the first cable protective member 13 or the second cable protective member 14 are unequal, and these forces act as driving force in accelerating the movable table 12 and as braking force in decelerating the movable table 12.
