Provided are a method for expressing haptic information and a haptic information transmission system using sensory information. The method for expressing haptic information using sensory information involves generating object data to generate a scene descriptor for setting the temporal position of multimedia information containing audio and video information and haptic information containing tactile information and force information corresponding to the multimedia information, encoding the thus-generated object data, multiplexing the thus-encoded data to generate a single stream file, and expressing haptic information through a tactile device and a force-reflecting device, wherein said method for expressing haptic information comprises the following steps: defining force data on the effect of passive motion, and force data on the effect of active motion, wherein the force data is said force information; describing components of force data on the effect of active motion; storing control information containing characteristics and the size of a haptic device including said tactile device and said force-reflecting device; expressing information on said scene descriptor through said haptic device while referencing said control information; and providing the effect of active motion on the basis of the above-described components of force data on the effect of active motion. |
