<p>Disclosed is an external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine, which is provided with a sealed air chamber and a heater and cooler, and is also provided with a flow passage which provides communication between the air chamber and an inlet and an outlet of the heater. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is also provided with a flow passage which provides communication between the air chamber and an inlet and an outlet of the cooler. An open/close valve is provided in the flow passage on the inlet side and the outlet side, respectively. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is provided with a working gas movement means. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is provided with a flow passage which communicates with the heater, and an open/close valve in said flow passage. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is provided with a flow passage which communicates with the cooler, and an open/close valve in said flow passage. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is provided with actuating elements which communicate with the heater and the cooler, respectively. As a result, it is possible to provide an external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine in which the volume of the heater or cooler can be designed and produced under various conditions, regardless of the engine efficiency, and the structure can be simplified. The external combustion-type closed-cycle combustion engine is highly efficient and is simple to operate and maintain.</p> |
