<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, recording medium, and information processing method which enables message display during usage of contents and control of usage of compact contents. <P>SOLUTION: In reproduction of the contents stored in the information recording medium, the device has a configuration for allowing usage of the contents based on the legitimate right of use of the contents, displays a message of the reason why the reproduction of the contents is stopped when an illegal usage of the contents is determined by a security check, and receives user's response to the displayed message. Moreover, regarding the compact contents such as those of Java(R) and HDMV, the device controls usage of the contents by transferring the data via registers and memories between an application executing section for executing the contents and secure VM as a security information processing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
