<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor element capable of performing super-insulation inspection correctly at room temperature, securing water repellancy at a high temperature, and performing early activation. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor element 1 includes a solid electrolyte body 11 having oxygen ion conductivity, a measurement gas-side electrode 12 and a reference gas-side electrode 13 prepared on one surface and the other surface of the solid electrolyte body 11, respectively, and a porous diffusion-resistant layer 14 through which a measurement gas is transmitted while covering the measurement gas-side electrode 12. Over an outer surface 141 introducing measurement gas in the porous diffusion-resistant layer 14, a surface protective layer 3 is formed to have hydrophilicity at room temperature and water repellancy at a high temperature where the solid electrolyte body 11 is activated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
