<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable firmware rewriting in a plurality of MFPs without spoiling user conveniences, in an image forming system under a pull-print environment. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP is selected that suits output setting information of each print data stored in print data storage means, and operable MFPs are selected from the selected MFPs. At least one MFP is selected therefrom for each output setting, and firmware rewriting is preferentially performed for other than the selected MFP.
