<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass preform drawing apparatus carrying out the transport of a glass preform to a heating furnace at transporting rate adjusted to a prescribed rate and obtaining a glass rod having a stable diameter. <P>SOLUTION: In the drawing apparatus for manufacturing a glass rod having a desired outside diameter by heating and drawing the glass preform, a top chamber is a transparent body in a wavelengthλ(μm) expressed by formula 1:λ=2898/T at a normal operating temperature T (K) of a heating furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
