<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system capable of simplifying wiring and of being downsized, and an electric vehicle comprising the same. <P>SOLUTION: A battery system 500 comprises a plurality of battery modules 100M, 100 including a plurality of battery cells 10. The battery module 100M includes a main circuit board 21 and the other battery modules 100 include auxiliary circuit boards 21a. The main circuit board 21 includes a cell characteristics detecting circuit 1 that detects characteristics of each battery cell 10 and a control-related circuit 2 having a function related to control of the plurality of the battery modules 100M, 100.
