<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose breakdown of a battery voltage regulator in a power supply device for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device includes: a generator 2; a plurality of batteries 3, 4 which are charged by electric power outputted from the generator 2 and series-connected and which can supply the charged electric power to a high voltage load 11; a battery voltage regulator 5 into which the electric power is inputted from the generator 2 and which regulates output current such that the voltages of the batteries 3, 4 are the same and which can supply predetermined electric power to a low voltage load 12; a voltage detecting means 6 which is provided on the low voltage load 12 and detects the voltage outputted from the battery voltage regulator 5; a generator operation detecting means 7 which detects the operation of the generator 2; and a breakdown determining means 8 which determines the breakdown of the battery voltage regulator 5 when the voltage detected by the voltage detecting means 6 during the operation of the generator 2 is not within a predetermined range that is set in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
