<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker equipped with a direct-current power supply circuit capable of improving a power factor of an alternating current while suppressing power loss in the circuit. <P>SOLUTION: When power factor improvement operation is carried out in the direct-current power supply circuit 32, an electric current flows via diodes D1, D4 when a switching element 38 is off, and an electric current flows via the diodes D3, D2 when a switching element 39 is off.
