PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a deluxe edition, which has a higher-quality than that of a perfect binding, and has high durability and tear resistance, and is excellent in a spread property, and to provide a deluxe edition manufactured by the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of deluxe edition 1000 includes: a step for carrying out gathering of two or more papers 202 for a deluxe edition to form text 210; a step for boring two or more thread holes (301-304) which penetrate the text along back side outer edge 205 of the text; a step for inserting a binding thread 402 into the thread holes to form a thread binding book body 602; a step for attaching a facing 604 to both front and rear sides of the book body 602, and sticking a butter muslin 802 so as to cover the lower part 605 of the facing 604 of the both front and rear sides, and back face 603 of book body 602 to form a bookbinding body 800; and a cover mounting step for attaching a cover body 900 to the bookbinding body 800.
