PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic hazard map generation apparatus capable of generating a traffic hazard map effective for vehicle drivers. SOLUTION: In the traffic hazard map generation apparatus, individual head part movement data and position data of first group drivers and second group drivers are stored as driving data and the head part movement data are integrated to obtain time-series data (S117). Data of a place where each driver performs swing check operation are stored as check place data based on the time-series head part movement data (S119). The first driver check place data of a place where the first group drivers perform swing check operation in common in a step S123 are extracted, and the second group driver check place data of a place where the second group drivers perform swing check operation in common in a step S125 are extracted. The first group driver check place data are compared with the second group driver check place data to specify actual dangerous places and latent dangerous places. Since not only actual dangerous places but also latent dangerous places can be specified in this invention, a traffic hazard map effectively also for general drivers whose hazard recognition is insufficient can be generated.
