PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure of a structural member, which can prevent a heat insulating member provided on a side face of a connecting fitting from projecting out of a side face of the structural member. SOLUTION: In the connecting structure of the structural member connecting a structural member (column) 20 to another member (foundation) 10 with the connecting fitting 1 of square shape in cross section secured to the end face of the structural member, at least one side face (side faces 1a, 1c, for example) of the connecting fitting 1 is positioned inside the side face 20a of the structural member 20. A first heat insulating member 25 for covering the one side face is provided between the one side face and the face extending from the side face of the structural member 20, thereby preventing the first heat insulating members 25, 25 from projecting out of a side face 20a of the structural member 20.
