PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative belt body with excellent fixability, capable of precisely preventing the dislocation of the belt body by sliding after being attached to a container for packaging, the wear of the belt body and the scratch damage of the container for the packaging, and to provide a production method by which the belt body can be produced by a simple process. SOLUTION: The decorative belt body is produced by arranging a belt decoration 12 at least on a part of the narrow belt body 1, forming a connecting member 2 into a thin narrow shape out of a resin material having elasticity and tacking properties, forming welding parts 21 and 21 at both terminals of an elastic part 22, welding each welding part 21 to the vicinities of the terminal parts 11 of the narrow belt body 1, and protruding the base terminal parts 22a of the elastic part 22 extended from the welding parts 21 from the surface of the narrow belt body 1 at least in the standing direction.
