PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embankment reinforcing method for resisting loads in every directions. SOLUTION: In the embankment reinforcing method for reinforcing an embankment 1 constructed on a foundation 4 with piles 7, 20, 25 having a strength capable of resisting a tensile load and a compressive load, the pile 7 is driven approximately vertically in the embankment 1 and the pile 20 is driven diagonally in the vicinity thereof. A head of the approximately-vertical pile 7 and a head of the diagonal pile 20 are connected to form a reinforcing pile group 6, while the reinforcing pile group 6 is provided on at least one side of the side faces 3a, 3b of the embankment 1. Then, the pile 25 is driven approximately-horizontally in the embankment 1 so as to correspond to the opposing reinforcing pile groups 6, 6 of both side faces 3a, 3b. Further, both ends of the approximately-horizontal pile 25, the heads of the approximately-vertical piles 7 and the heads of the diagonal pile 20 in the reinforcing pile groups 6, 6 are connected, respectively.
