CASE IMAGE SEARCH APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration in searching accuracy due to disagreement between slice thicknesses of a case image and a diagnosis image. SOLUTION: When a thin-slice diagnosis image is input as a query image in a case where the number of thin-slice case images registered in an image information DB 5 is originally few, the thin-slice case image is converted into a thick-slice case image to increase thick-slice case images on the image information DB 5 and at the same time the thin-slice query image is converted into the thick-slice query image. Alternatively, when a thick slice diagnosis image is input as a query image in a case where the number of thick-slice case images registered in the image information DB 5 is originally few, a thin-slice case image is converted into the thick-slice case image to increase the thick slice case images on the image information DB 5. This method can improve the searching accuracy (a hit rate) of the thick-slice case image similar to the thick-slice query image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
